Real Women Real Stories. Champagne and Cake’s…Toast to a Cure
Last week I had the opportunity to observe one of the most powerful conversations of my lifetime. The common bond between four women who are breast cancer survivors and one of them is currently fighting cancer. The strength and faith these women have are amazing. I felt their strength, energy and faith by just listening to their conversations. While observing their conversation one of the reasons I created my blog became clear. I created Champagne and Cake to promote positivity, but most importantly I wanted my blog to support community causes in my local community. It is extremely important to me that Champagne and Cake giveback to the community. I created the Toast to A Cure Campaign to highlight breast cancer survivors and their amazing stories. According to breastcancer.org 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer during their lifetime. Also in 2015, an estimated 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in the United States.

C&C: What is your favorite quote?
LH: I love something business philosopher Jim Rohn said. “Every life form seems to strive to its maximum except human beings. How tall will a tree grow? As tall as it possibly can. Human beings, on the other hand, have been given the dignity of choice. You can choose to be all or you can choose to be less. Why not stretch up to the full measure of the challenge and see what all you can do?”
